Dahlia's are quite complicated flowers to tackle but I am pleased to report that it received a lot of praise at a recent demonstration day.
The art challenge prior to the above was a Traction Engine in graphite pencil. I decided to research this wonderful piece of machinery and found out that it was originally named the Crawley Kitchener. At some point in its history it became the star of the film The Iron Maiden and now takes that as its name.
Prior to the Iron Maiden I completed, in graphite pencil, 'The Stagshaw.' A lovely big black train which, sadly is no longer running but resides in the Tanfield Railway Museum in Co Durham England.
I look forward to my next art challenge whatever that may be. Perhaps it will be something for you - who knows. so visit my site at http://www.eyshasfineart.co.uk/ and decide for yourself
